Desktop Support Specialist

The DSS is the point of contact for in-house staff seeking technical assistance for desktop software and hardware issues. They serve as members of the IT Support Team by providing technical support to all personnel and maintaining the smooth operation of the office computer facilities.  Primary responsibilities are client support.  Be present, visible and available to clients requiring assistance.  Accept general responsibility for the client’s computer equipment and ensure that it is ready for use, responsible for fundamental operations of commonly used software, hardware, and other equipment, including, but not limited to Windows XP Pro, Windows 2000, Microsoft Office, Quickbooks, Quicken, Laserfiche, Worldox, Corel Office and other commonly used business applications.  At least 2 years of absolutely relative to this job description experience, ability to work extended or off hours as required.  Friendly presence and helpful, professional attitude; good interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others; Good problem solving skills; ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it; ability to handle constantly changing flow of traffic; be able to multitask effectively, exercise patience and professionalism during stressful situations.
 
Network Administrator
The Network Administrators are the point of contact for in-house staff seeking technical assistance for software and hardware issues. They serve as members of the IT Support Team by providing technical support to all personnel in the firm and maintaining the smooth operation of the office computer facilities.  Primary responsibilities include server and network infrastructure support, including LAN/WAN and VPN connectivity, Blackberry Enterprise Server support, MS Terminal Services and Citrix Metaframe / Presentation server.  At least 3 years of absolutely relative to this job description experience, ability to work extended or off hours as required.  Friendly presence and helpful, professional attitude; good interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others; Good problem solving skills; ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it; ability to handle constantly changing flow of traffic; be able to multitask effectively, exercise patience and professionalism during stressful situations.
